Cool Mic: Help: VUMeter

The "VUMeter" settings section is where you configure specifics of Cool Mic's graphical VU (volume unit) meter.

The VU Meter is a representation of your audio source's volume/sound levels and should be taken into close consideration while livestreaming. A VU meter will let a livestreamer know that their sound source is at the appropriate levels for listeners to hear without either being too quiet or too loud, "clipping" or distorted. In general, you want to see your volume levels toward the very top so the sound is loud and clear to listeners, but never *always* at the very top as it may be too loud and distorted. If you are livestreaming with 1 channel (mono), both sides of VU meter will read the same levels. If you are livestreaming with 2 channels (stereo), each side of the VU meter will represent an individual channel.
