Cool Mic: Help: Connection

The "Connection" screen is where you configure specifics of the Icecast 2.x server you'll be connecting to.

Entries are explained as follows:

• Server: The FQDN or IP address of the Icecast server you are connecting to. You may specify an optional port number if necessary, separated by a colon. The default port number is 8000. (Example: source.coolmic.net:80)


• Username: Your Icecast username. Default username for many Icecast servers is source - if you aren't sure what your username is, it's likely this. (Example: source)


• Password: Your Icecast username's assigned password. (Example: hackme)


• Mountpoint: Your Icecast mountpoint. (Example: coolmic.opus)


• Auto-Reconnect: Toggle whether, if connection to Icecast drops unexpectedly (for instance, due to network connection dropping), Cool Mic will automatically attempt to reconnect every 10 seconds.
